Belek, Side or Alanya: how to get from Antalya Airport to your resort, and why Uber is not a real option here.

In Antalya, it’s not the city that matters, but your resort. The centre is only a few kilometres away, but Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya turn that into a journey of forty minutes to well over two hours. That’s exactly why booking ahead is the norm here.

Tram and airport bus

For the city itself, there’s the tram and local buses, which work well and are inexpensive. But as soon as your hotel is in one of the holiday areas, public transport becomes a chain reaction of bus, change and a final taxi leg. After a flight with children, that’s the least popular option of the trip.

Private transfer: fixed price and a driver who waits

A pre-booked private transfer means the driver knows your flight number, waits if you’re delayed, the price is fixed before you book, and luggage is included. It’s the best option for late arrivals, for families needing child seats, and for anywhere farther away than the city centre. If you’re travelling light and want to stay spontaneous, you won’t need it.

Uber in Antalya: not a reliable option

Unlike in Istanbul, Uber in Antalya is not something you should rely on. In high season, last-minute rides are scarce anyway, and the usual ride services have a much weaker presence here. If you want to stay flexible, it’s better to speak to the hotel rather than rely on an app.

Why private transfer is the standard here

For long distances and arrivals in the middle of the night, a pre-booked driver with a fixed price is the calmest and most reliable solution. You get into a vehicle that suits the number of passengers, luggage is included, and the journey time is predictable. Many hotels offer their own shuttles, but these are tied to set collection times.

Car hire: good for excursions, not for arrival

The region is well worth exploring by car, from the waterfalls to the ancient sites along the coast. In practice, though, it often makes more sense to hire a car at the resort for two or three days instead of picking it up at the airport and then leaving it in the hotel car park for a week.

How Reisedrop handles the question after booking

After your hotel booking we do not ask whether you want to buy a transfer, we ask how you are getting to your accommodation in Antalya. You see two options side by side: a private transfer you lock in beforehand, and a direct link into the Uber app with your destination pre-filled if you would rather stay flexible. No flood of suppliers, no invented guide prices. Private transfers and rental cars are booked with external providers, and with Uber you are forwarded straight to Uber. Price, availability and booking sit with the respective provider. We are not a partner of Uber and deliberately show no Uber prices.

💡 Save the hotel address as a screenshot before departure, ideally in the local language. That helps any driver more than an app description and still works without a signal.
