How Dubai prices move
Dubai’s price curve usually follows the weather more than airline distance. From May to September, heat reduces leisure demand, so this is the cheaper part of the year by experience. From late October, demand rises as temperatures become easier for beach time and outdoor areas such as Dubai Marina, Downtown and Jumeirah. The winter peak usually stretches from November into March, with another lift around school holiday periods and year-end travel. Hotel supply is large across districts from Deira to Palm Jumeirah, which softens extreme spikes, but flights can still tighten first on specific departure dates. In our own hotel readings, Dubai ranged from EUR 23 per night to a median of EUR 189.
Where the curve breaks
The line does not move smoothly for all 12 months. One break usually appears around late December and New Year, when long-haul leisure demand, visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic and event travel overlap. Another break often comes around spring holiday weeks, when families from Europe and the Gulf travel at the same time. A third pattern is the sharp easing once sustained summer heat arrives, often visible from May onward rather than exactly on one date. Flights can diverge from hotels here: a cheap room in Bur Dubai or Al Barsha does not guarantee a cheap seat from your airport. Our own cheapest flight reading was Wien to Dubai with Pegasus Airlines on 2026-10-29 for EUR 218.
How to read prices
Read any price history by separating season, route and booking distance. A low August hotel price does not tell you what February should cost, and a fare from Vienna does not represent Zürich, Manchester or Berlin because each airport has different seat supply and connection options. For May to September, checking earlier still helps, but last-minute hotel softness can appear because Dubai has broad room inventory. For November to March and for year-end weeks, start much earlier because both rooms and convenient flight times tighten. Avoid comparing one unusually low reading with a median: our own Dubai hotel median of EUR 189 comes from 882 readings between 2026-08-23 and 2026-10-10, not from one isolated night.

When is Dubai cheapest?
Usually in these months: May–Sep. That is when lower airfares and lower hotel rates line up.
Where do the prices on this page come from?
From our own daily readings – we query flight and hotel prices ourselves and store them. The basis is stated under each figure.
How do I find the cheapest month for my dates?
Set the Drop Alert: we keep watching Dubai and email you as soon as the price falls below the average we have measured so far.
When should I book Dubai for the lower-price season?
For May to September, start tracking a few months ahead and compare both flights and hotels separately. Hotels may soften because the city has large room supply, but flights depend on your departure airport’s seat inventory and connection patterns.
Why can Dubai look cheap on one date and expensive a week later?
Because the curve breaks around holiday weeks, year-end travel and school breaks rather than rising evenly. A single date can also reflect a route-specific fare drop or one district’s hotel availability, so compare several nearby dates before judging the market.
